Ati P600b
Ati P600b
I've seen allot of people say that the P600B sucks. Being that its the only supercharger I have had I don't know why "it sucks" It has been really good to me. If I upgrade to an F1 what benefits does it have? Right now I run 8psi but I am soon bumping it up to 12. Boost is the greatest thing

Some people on this board have had some success running good times with their P600b. I personally think if you car is a 355 or a 383 than a D1SC is a better suited blower. What are your goals? Is this car going to be heavily street driven? What kind of budget are you working with?
With a built motor you should have no problems running 12#. Make sure you get enough fuel in the motor though. That's when trouble starts.
I ran a P600B for just over three years and never had any blower related problems. The P1SC is better in the sense that if you kill the blower, it doesn't blow metal shavings into the pan.

they also make a 15lb pulley for the p600b if you dont think 12 will be enough for you, but ive seen alot of people on here say not to ever run it. from some quick math it looks like you wouldnt overspin the blower until 6400ish though (if i did that right, which i think i did
), so if people revved to 6k normally i dont see what the problem would be. always wondered if people had other reasons why not to run that size pulley with it?

I also have a P600b and it lasted over 95,000 miles. When I did my rebuild for my motor, I also sent the blower back to ATI for new seals and bearings. So in my case I think the P600b is a good blower, but have to agree on higher boost levels the other larger units are the way to go.
