Hey Im getting a blower in a while here i was wondering if i should go with the P-1SC or the 600b. I would rather have the self contained unit so I dont have to get a oil Line but I hear they leak?

Give me your experiences and comments.

 

My P1sc doesn't leak.

 

I've never seen one leak, and never met anyone that said they do.

go with the sc its a better head unit and upgradeable. mine doesn't leak either but its pretty new

Wow I have seen at least 4 leak. Yes they leak.

 

I've had mine on my daily driver for over 2 years now and I've never had a leak.

 

I have had my PISC for ~3 years now. It leaked after the first week and continued to leak since then but other than that, it never gave me any problems. I have over 50K miles on mine now.

both my p1sc and D1scs leaked.

 

Mine just started leaking. Anything I can do about it. I only drove the car with the blower for a total of 4 months.

 

Mine started leaking after a month too,so i called ATI and i sent it off to them and they replaced the seal no charge. I did have to pay for shipping it to them. No more leaks so far after 3 years.

 

Most of the time ATI will charge you $250 to replace the seals even if the blower in under warranty. There have been a few instances were they have replaced them for free. Just call them up and see what they say.

 

I might be screwed. I bought the kit used. Even though it was new, ATI has the other guys name in their computer.

How loud is everyone's ps1c? I orderd mine just wondering if its gonna be a noticable whine?

 

On a serious note I would highly recommend not driving your car with the blower leaking. You run a chance of further damage to your blower. HOw much is it leaking?

 

Yes it is going to be a noticeable whine.
