Anyone thinking of making ?

Anyone give and thought into making the hard intake tubes for the Vortech SC? i would like one so that it would be exactly the size and fit i need since you might have made one for your car already so that a shop i have fab up might not get a good one made to fit right . i'm sure if the price was right more people would buy one then just me being the only one wanting one..

How decent are your welding skills?

You can problaly make a pretty slick one yourself. Just try going to stahl headers and pick up a 180 degree u bend.

Re: Anyone thinking of making ?

I've got a Brad Brand intake tube on mine...dunno if he's still making them though...someone might have one for sale from time to time if you're lucky. Try posting in the WTB parts section.

Also, that website www.hightempsilicone.com we talked about in private email should have more than enough pieces to interconnect some small straight pipes together to make what you need, they make 90deg, 45deg, and couplers. That's the way I'd go if you can't find a Brad Brand tube, or don't have a competent exhaust shop near you. You might want to at least talk to one, it's not that hard of a thing for them to do. My guy just made all my outlet tubes and it only took him 2 hours start to finish and cost me $120 including parts/labor, came out perfect, exactly the way I showed him I wanted it.

PVC and rubber couplers can work pretty well in place of the corregated (sp?) hose piece too - cheap and effective, and may help you mock up for hardline, if you still want to go that route. That was my plan - to get something better flowing temporarily, then hardpipe later when I had more time, but the current setup is working so well, I'm going to leave it alone...

I suggest getting the 180 degree bend, or 2 90s if the 180 isn't available, and making one.

I learned how to weld on my supercharger install and mine turned out pretty good. Here is a pic before it was painted: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/evolve...bc.jpg&.src=ph
