I'll be on the Tour in Green Bay riding in this car: http://www.tk14ss.cz28.com/about.html
We just finished building his motor after an unfortunate rod bearing/ crankshaft failure. It's now a 421 Rwhp NA beast that was just WOT tuned by Jim at Speed Inc!

My car is a pipedream away. Machine shop STILL has my motor. I just want it back so I can finish putting it together and finish the rest of the piping and get her on the road. If ya wanna check it out let me know. I have a nice big garage as well I'm right off the Highway (I-43) (about 3-4 mins) on your way up to Green Bay in Sheboygan (60 miles south of GB).

We made it out to Iowa on Wednsday. It was nice out but the show was sold out, spectators only. However, a buddy had problems with his car so I never made it in that show. I drove to IL the next day and put the car there. The weather was crappy so the show didnt last very long and there was probably only 500 cars, compaired to the 3000+ in IA. We decided to skip green bay because of the weather.

Weather pretty much wrecked the entire trip

The car got about 19mpg on the trip. With a cruising a/f of 15.0, I think I was closer to 21mpg. Not bad for a 1000+hp car

Due to the rain we decided to skip Chicago, we jumped in the tour at a stop just north of Milwaukee at Imagine Motorsports. Got to see an 8 turbo LS1 motor. It was a plumbing nightmire, but elegantly done. No intercooler though. I'm not even sure what kind of car it was in, I was just so amazed at the setup. Each set of 4 turbo's took their intake from a common inlet at the front of the car under the headlights. All 8 compressor discharges went toward the back of the motor to a common plenum under the dash and then into the throttle body of a reversed LS1 intake (pointing back) They were saying they had like 13 guys working "day and night" on the plumbing. It didn't look that hard to me, could have been accomplished by 2 guys who knew what they were doing and had a plan on what was going on. By the time we hit Road America the rain slowed to a drizzle, and stopped by the time we hit Green Bay. Everythng was dry and remained that way for the conclusion of the Power Tour. Saw a few more twin turbo setups, one with a viper motor in an old Mopar. The turbine housings on that thing were TINY for a v-10 motor. My SC-61's are much larger!

I thought I saw your car Jake, looked the same as yours, black with ground effects. But when we looked closer when we saw it at a stop again, it had a Paxton sticker on the back window and no cooler for the air/water intercooler. Oh well.

I get my Block and rotating assembly back from the machine shop today sometime, and I have 2 finals on monday and tuesday, then two weeks off before my next classes start. I should have a running car in this time

Bill
