just curios to see if anyone ever heard of a lt1 roots type supercharger like an eaton or magnacharger?

 

I don't think they made one for the f-bodies seing there is not much room with the cowl but i believe one of the guys on here fab'd one up a year or two ago.

 

Alvin from PCMforless was running one about a year ago. Check out his website, there are pictures.

 

If I'm not mistaken, there was a long thread on this over at the impala site, in the supercharged forum.

Basically, you can put a roots blower on any engine you want to, if you are willing to have the adaptors machined to do the mating and to match up the pulleys.

The problem, as has already been mentioned; is one of clearance.

 

Id like to see the pictures of this. I believe the project was abandoned or something since he sold the intake/blower.

 

someone here was selling a custom roots blower setup about a year ago. It was pretty cool. Come to think of it i think it was that Alvin from pcm4less.

 

The only reason why I took it off the car isbecause I wanted to make more power with a T-trim. If you check back on my post too you'll see that i was initially disappointed with the feel of a vortech over the roots blower.

I took down all the pictures off the website because I had 2 guys trying to market my idea and one other company that built almost the exact same thing.

One day I might make a kit thats avaiable for everyone under 2k. Until I have the time and resources to do so the kits on hold.

 

alvin how did you adapt it to the lt1,im not into marketing it just wanna be different
