air to water intercooler question...

>If I was to run an air to water intercooler on my T-Trim can you run on the street without the water part and just fill the water tank when necessary? or will this damage the whole intercooler?

Thanks

Well If I'm getting what you're saying, you want to run it without water in some way shape or form. At that point its just an aluminum heat sink... Which isnt going to cool anything. Sure you could get away without running any water in it(if you can prevent knock) but why would you want to?

Having problems running water in it on the street?

You would have to disable the pump as it is wired to run anytime the ignition is on. The intercooler will very helpful to keep your intake temps down on the street; I have the Vortech Aftercooler on my 10# S Trim and see 40 - 50 degree F lower intake temps on the street since I added the Aftercooler.

Water to air is fine for the street. Just make sure you use a heat exchanger for daily driving, it will keep the water cool, and close to ambient unless you run at long extended amounts of time under boost.

I was wondering if It would be the same as an air to air (but with water).
Forced Inductions claims that their intercooler can handle up to 1300HP.
http://forcedinductions.com/GMkits2.htm so I will use this for my T-trim.
