Aftercooler water tank?

Aftercooler water tank?
I am wondering if vortech's oversized watertank will fit on the driver side where my smog equipment used to be. The reason I ask is because I have seen the tank in the battery location and it seems like the drivers side would be a natural. Also anyone know where I can get one cheaper than vortech's $180?
I had also thought about a 3 gallon fuel cell in the trunk for this instead of the vortech unit. They sell for $106 at summit and measure 9"x9"x13". I think it uses -8an fittings and I was wondering if theres an adapter to mate those AN's to the 3/4 inch heater hose. The main draw back of this set up I think is that the cell has foam in it which means I probably couldn't get much ice in it but then again I wont be using ice 99% of the time.

I put a water tank in my GTP with my air to water setup and I plan on using the same tank on my TA. It was a aluminum summit 3 gal fuel cell.. i just forced the hose over the an fitting part and used hose clamps, but you can buy the correct adapters if you want.

I installed this 5 gallon tank in my trunk:

The foam can easily be removed.
You don't want to attempt to use the -8 outlets as they will restrict water flow. Get these in -12 size:

I plugged the -8 outlets using AN caps and mounted the new -12 outlets pointing straight down and routed hose through two existing holes in the bottom of the trunk (they have rubber plugs currently). I mounted the water pump directly below the tank under the car.
All in all, it made for a pretty nifty install that looks decent. Keep in mind, though, you will need ALOT of 3/4" heater hose. Seems like I bought 30 feet and used all of it including the hose that came with the Aftercooler.

I'm still using the Vortech pump and radiator.
The Vortech pump flows an impressive amount of water, especially considering its size.
Also, I made 3 full-throttle passes in a row and the water in the tank never got more than luke-warm (probably around 90 deg on a 70 deg day). I think the increased water volume in my system (5 extra gallons) stabilizes the temp alot.
