Acceleronics and 72#/hr are great!

If you need big injectors and don’t want to go to the speed density stand-alone computer system, I would highly recommend doing the Acceleronics impedance converter and low impedance injectors. I was really hesitant and scared to do this and tried to avoid doing it. I looked for some good 50#/hr injectors, but found that the 50#/hr are very sluggish and can’t handle my planned hp goal. So I bought the box and the Seimens 72#/hr injectors since I have spent so much money on my power setup and wanted to do this right.

We installed in the box and injectors easily, and LJ helped with the LT1 Edit file. We basically just toss in a simple file and the car idles really well and runs like a monster. I am really glad I had done this and how well it turned out. The Acceleronics box with low impedance injectors is a great and simple alternative. So don’t be afraid to do this!

I’m just waiting to dyno tune my car now since I can see 11# of boost from my S-trim going through the 396. I also want to say that Nick at Nutek built my engine setup superbly. I trusted him to pick all the parts and do all the machining and labor for my high power system that I asked him to built, and it came out exactly what I was hoping for and more.

cheers

I have gone the same route. Any tuning info you or anyone else can share would help a ton.

Mathieu - I sent some emails with some tuning info.

Brook and Jeff - the installation is a snap, and the low impedance injectors with the box works as snappy as stock injectors. On stroked motors like my 396 it idles like stock and it's not yet tune.

Good luck

Hi Dennis,

The installation is really simple and the box is really well built. Brian should have no problem tuning it for you. You can always email LJ or us when you need help once you have the box. I was also really nervous with the deal, but it turn out awesome and we don't have to do this again unless we are shooting for 800-1000rwhp.

Brian should know how to tune for this already I would think. If not, we should ask LJ to call Brian and talk to him.

cheers

Im interested in the tuning files. I just got my blown 396 going with the help of one of LJ's files as well. Im also running the impedance converter with absolutely no probs. My thanks to LJ.

but with the BOV he LOST it... or his mechanic did. Either way, I had to find another one and I wasted about a month of time waiting for him. It's just bad business to make people wait for things they've paid for.

Links? I have never heard of this. I thought I had seen someone do it a long time ago but didn't think there was one for sale.

Pics??

I would be interested because I had 50s as well and it was always kinda iffy on tuning and driveablity.

I'm not sure what the questions is regarding the links? If you mean the files that we use to run the low impedance injectors and the impedance box, LJ and us are trying to help each other make our car runs good and fast. We can share with you a baseline file for tuning when you need it I just threw in a baseline file from LJ and the car idles great and runs really well even better than when I was running with the 36#/hr + FMU + high pressure + way lean.

I like this setup because the low impedance injectors are very snappy and you don't have to drive your fuel system to elevated pressure. Even with the sluggish 50#/hr, you willl need to start at 50psi for about 525rwhp with IDC at 80%.

That was what I was thinking because I almosted opted to buy the 50#/hr injectors and didn't want to have a chance when I will waste those and have to move to a larger one. I thought it will be easy with the high impedance 50's but the low impedance injectors with the box turn out to be very simple and great.

cheers
