i take it this will be a boosted motor?

it all depends what your budget, skills, and goals are.

On the reset the car kept running, but was lean all the way home, not just instantly after the reset.

I got some shielded wire, and need to go work on stuff. I may be lazy and put it off a day.

Yea, 383, realquicks hotparts, pt76gts, looking for 600rwhp on the streets, crank it up to whatever she'll make at the track, 750-800? Budget would be around 500 for the computer system, otherwise ill save up for BS3. Skills as far as what? I'm pretty handy around the car, decent at wiring, haven't done too much soldering, but I guess I could get it done.

I was going to put it on, but since I want to run in the ltxshootout, I completely revamped how I am going to build up the car this winter. For the class I want to run I HAVE to run the stock pcm, so I'm going to do a 2 bar tune with e85 and some huge injectors.

It's the 2.2 with the flyback board and has the msnspark extra, built by RS autosports, and a 255 kpa map sensor. Also have the simulator to go with it.

Well I didn't go beat on it yet, but I worked out some issues. Butt connectors suck. Found my 12v source for my MS pretty much resting against its connector. Replaced my signal wires with the fancy shielded stuff. Soldered it and my power wires, along with heat shrink and electrical tape. I will eventually do the rest of my wires too. I was in a hurry when I put it in the car.

It started easier last night so that is a good sign.

If this is starting to sound like a horror story its really not so bad, just that I only get a few minutes here and there to mess with it.

Going to try to beat on it some tonight.

Well I put another 30 miles on it today. Never cut out on me.

I got a little more ambitious with my timing - started at something like 12 degrees and am up to @ 17 under boost.

Lays rubber in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd without going full throttle.

Did my first rolling burnout today. Brakeboosting something like 40-50mph and the log shows I was at 3500rpms. Bet it would do it lower though.

Now its down to drive it - log it - tune it - repeat. Each time I go out it runs smoother, drinks less gass (my first 50 miles saw 2 full tanks, now much better) my transitions a part throttle spots are getting better.

All of this on lowish compression and 8psi. I just wish there was more day light and less snow. Saturday we got a mini blizzard and by 2ish Sunday the roads were dry again. So I only got to play a couple of hours this evening. Oh and I am still taking fuel out under boost - Getting closer to my target but still running 9.0ish. When I started today I was pegging the wideband at 7. One step at a time though.

Since fixing my timing it has gotten quieter.

My forcast would be to get the holidays out of the way - Spend some time on the dyno to find max power - Then look at running more boost.

Without tires 8-10psi will be about the max I will need on the street.

I'll post them up next time I have my laptop on and a connection. The way MS does VE though is a little different so it may vary wildy motor to motor.

Idle is 36-37%ish
cruise spots upper 40s
WOT before boost 90s
WOT after boost Will probably end up around 120 as a rough guess.
Trying to find a sweetspot for my decel - so far its either pig rich or a pulsewidth shorter than my injectors opening time - basically she stops firing while coasting. I think I can clean that area up too, just hasn't been my first concern.

well, since we have basically the same build going (same turbo...same cam), what RPM are you into full boost at?
Do you wish you would have gone with a bigger turbo?
I am pretty set on the MP T70 w/ .96, but have been considering the s400 lately since its the same rpice...but mid 10s should be good enough for me

Well I formed a leak the other night or something... I am not seeing full boost now but I will figure it out.

I honestly can't say how low, because I have been easing into the throttle for the most part. With a good load in an upper gear I bet you could see full boost by 2k. The little bit I have punched it so far shows some impressive results. There is no lag really. From a stop in first if I get on it I will see 0psi for about 2/10ths and then it snaps to whatever my wastegate is set at. Its impressive to see, there is really no noteable time between 2psi and 9psi... it just snaps.
