383/D1SC pulley experts please help

I purchased a used D1SC w/twins. Unit is at ATI right now. And their telling me that they don't know what pulley to sell me to get to 8psi of boost. Sounds like they might be trying to sell me a couple of pullies to solve my problem. If i give you guys the info please try and get back to me ASAP so i can call ATI tomorrow to help them out. 383 with lt4 heads that flo 275 in 188 out (advertized) CC#305 Cam. Motor spins to 6100 RPM's indicated on tech. Looking to achieve 8psi......................joe

Your best bet is to contact Lonnie Pavtis, he is one of the best ATI dealers around and can recommend and get you the pulley you need quickly too.

You never mentioned what kind of compression or exhaust you will be running or how much power you want to run??

I am currently running a P1SC with an almost 9:1 compression 383 motor with completely stock heads and a cc305 cam and I see about 9-11 psi of boost (depending on weather conditions)at 5900rpms with a 3.4 inch blower pulley. Since your blower flows more cfm, I am willing to bet you will require around a 3.75 inch blower pulley for your D1. But as I stated before, contact Lonnie, tell him the specifics on your motor combo and he will recommend the correct pulley for you and also get it to you asap for a great price too.

Here is Lonnies info:
his email addy: lpavtis@westol.com
And his webpage is www.westol.com/lpavtis

Thx,
Claude

If ATI does not have the pulley you need then I would highly recommend contacting ASP. They can make any size pulley you need.
