355 or 383

Hey im wondering what is the recomended choice here. When building a blower motor wich would be a better choice a 355 or a stroker? power wise and as far as reliability.

I suggest you do a search on this board for answers. Both displacements work well. If you're plan to run modest power, than the stock crank can be used and you'll end up with a 355. If you're upgrading to a forged crank, then it doesn't cost much more (clearancing the block) to step up to a 383.

Find a spare block now and start building it. I'd personally go with a 383 since the only real additional cost is clearancing the block for the longer stroke/rods.

I went with a 350 on my next buildup, but the only reason was because it was easier to get my desired compression ratio with my current heads and a 350 vs a 383. Other than that, theres no reason not to go 383.

The added low-end of a 383 works well with a centrifugal supercharger, which builds boost with rpm.
