3.42 to 3.73 worth it on Supercharged Z

I have heard 4.10s are way too steep, giving traction issues and a bad idea on a supercharged LT1, how about 3.73s? do you guys think its worth swapping out my 3.42s for 3.73s? Its a 96 Z28 with a M6 trans.

Personally I think a 3.42 is ideal for a blown application.

Gear selection likely also depends on amount of boost your normally putting out.

As well, there is the consideration of what gear your in at the finish line - if your racing.

Folks here run all 3 sizes although fewer run the 4.10's

I had 3.42's in my stock rear end and when I bought the 12 bolt it came with 3.73's.

The 3.73's are fine but I would not spend the money to change unless you "had" to. The 3.42's were just as much fun for the most part.

I had an M-6 with 3.42's. I swtiched it out for a 3.23 and liked it even better than 3.42 with the blower. I reduced the excessive loss of traction a little

Cool

I'll go along with that.. when i had the turbo and 3.42's I almost went with a 3.23 gear and thought about a 3.08 viper ratio.
Turbos love to work and with a manuals enherent boost loss in between shifts, it would seem like a good selection to keep some street traction and let that baby PULL a little longer. plus the better mpg???
