$2400 For used P600B ???
What do you guys think about $2400 for a used P600B kit for an LT1? Its complete with everything I would need to bolt right in. I was looking to get a P1SC or D1SC, but this came along, and has 1500-2000 miles on it. I thought it was priced a little higher than some of the other ones I have seen, but I donno ...
Maybe I should jsut hold out ...

I paid $2000 for a P1SC/twins, FCU, and everything else i need for my kit with 500 miles on it.
I would hold out and look for a better deal. People are always throwin blowers on stock engines, blowing them up a couple 100 miles later, then selling them to rebuild the engine.

Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
True True ...
I dont maybe its just me, but I like the idea of a self contained one better ... I even thought about picking this up, selling the head unit, and then waiting until I found a used D1SC but ...
For right now I want to run as low as I can pulley it down too ( 6-7 ) psi, conservative tune, and run it like that until I have the cash to do a stroker forged short block and good heads.

Sounds a little high. The P600 will be plenty for a stock or mild blower set-up. I would wait to find a D1 kit if you think a forged bottom end is in your future (it usually is when you put forced induction on a stock LT1).
At worse you can find a P1SC kit and run for now. Procharger can upgrade those units to a D1 later but, will probably be pricey.

Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
I plan on coming up with something similar to RSKRAUSE's car.
I do plan on building a stroker motor thats really low compression, so I can run it FI. I just wanted something NOW to make it faster until I have the money to build it the way I want to. I figured I can always pulley a D1SC way down for now, like say 6-8PSI, and then crank it back up when I build my stroker forged shortblock.

Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
Thanks guys ... I think I am going to hold out and keep my eye open for a used D1SC. A P1SC might be less than what I want for when I make the low compression stroker motor ... Sometime in the far off future, because college kills my wallet.
Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
id probably sale mine for 2000, Im going to up to a D1 for my new set up, I just dont know when I plan on getting rid of it yet, i was kinda planning on running it on the new motor till I get money for the D1, I have 9 and 12 8 rib pullys, and a 15 lb 12 rib set up for mine, both belt tenshioners, a new FMU never used from a D1 kit I bought from a friend, Trex inline fuel pump, dual core intercooler set up.
Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
The p600b is a good unit but it is kind of noisy. I still have my old one and went to a vortech V2, it is awesome. I may use my old blower on my new car, '70 corvette stingray.

I love the whine mine has. I thought something was wrong when I first fired it up. I ran to turn it off.
People either think your car is broken or know what's going on. It's great.

Re: $2400 For used P600B ???
Hahah that is a killer deal. I fear buying from other boards though. Man I want that.
I think I am going to wait for a D1 ... preferably a SC. Thats just one of my **** personal prefrences ... the self contained part ...
In the long run I want to run a 383-396 low compression car, on/around 14 PSI, with good heads, and a blower cam. I want to shoot for 600RWHP. So I think a D1SC would be better than a P600B would be for me.
Also, blower noise is irrelevent. Either way I would be content. As long as it flies.
