Y-pipe and offroad pipe?

My 99 SS now has 66,000 miles on it and im am going to take the old cat out and instead of getting a new one i was wonder if i should just get an off road pipe and y-pipe because i dont have emissions where i live. I already have magnaflow cat-back and want to know if it would be worth just getting the ypipe and off road pipe even if i dont have headers yet? thanks.

minimal gains..maybe 5hp

but it will sound alot louder...and a bit raspier...particularly with the free-flowing MF

Will any sensor or engine lights come on from this?

By running the off-road y-pipe, you will obviously be without the two cats so you will set an SES light. You can either have the PCM tuned or you can buy a pair of 02 simulators and plug them into the rear 02 harness connectors. For the gains, it probably isn't the best mod for the money. An off-road y-pipe would be a better addition to a set of headers.

The off-road pipe is a y-pipe, just a certain flavor meaning it doesn't have cats. A regular emissions friendly y-pipe does have cats.

If you have a stock exhaust, it would be a waste of money in my opinion.
