I have Pacesetter LTs and used the u-clamps when I first installed them and know the ends where the y pipe meet are not round. I'm trying to eliminate the terrible exhaust leak.

Do I have to round the ends out before I put band clamps on or can I just put them on over the kinked ends without having to worry about leaks.

 

They should be pretty straight. the female pipes need to be sloted.
