Whats the difference between these two catbacks?

I've heard good things about the GMMG, and thats what I'm thinking about getting, but I was wondering if this one from Stainless Works is the same thing, or equilalent?

i can't even figure out how that SW one pieces together. it appears to have 3 mufflers.

i'm sure they are pretty much the same.

i'd go with the proven one....GMMG

Yeah, I had the same question about the three mufflers in the picture for the Stainless Works one. I thought I had read here or in some other forum that SW makes it for GMMG, but I can't find that post now.

The main reason I was looking at the SW one was because it was available from a Supporting Vendor. I didn't see any Supporting Vendors that sell the GMMG.

Anyone on here have the Stainless Works version?

I just sent a message to Speed Engineering, a supporting vendor that sells the Stainless Works catback and asked them to post the answer here. Hopefully they can give some more info.

It definitely doesn't look exactly like the GMMG. The GMMG has two chambered exhausts, like the big one shown by Stainless works, and that's it. The GMMG comes preassembled in two pieces. It has the rear portion, which includes the chambered exhausts and piping that runs over the axle, and the I-Pipe. Also, GMMG's standard tips are 2.5".

I put the GMMG on the 02 WS6 that the ex got after the divorce and really liked it, link to a dyno run if you really need any more convincing about how good it sounds http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l4...t=Mov00443.flv
I have the Corsa catback on the Z28 and really like it to.
As the others have said, I am not really sure why the chambered sections on the SW come in three pieces unless they can't sell an exact copy of the GMMGs without getting sued.

I believe I was incorrect regarding the GMMG standard tip size. I think they're actually 2 3/4" tips.

Considering the price of the SW exhaust, I would probably just go with the GMMG.
