What's better?

I'm in the market to take my bbk shortys of and getting LTs now my question is what's better out of an X pipe or Y pipe? I know what each does but what is better and more preferred?

I have a 95 z28 now with bbk shortys, y-pipe then a straight pipe cut out right under the tranny and it's getting annoying and wanna get a good loud but not stupid loud one and that it will go to the back not end right under me.

Re: What's better?

Well for performance I would say X pipe. That being said I just upgraded from my shortys to Stainless works long tubes and catted Y pipe since all I had to do was install them. No other mods or welding required. If you go X I am sure someone will have to do some fab work and welding. I also went with Magnaflow cat back. It sounds real nice and deep. Good luck. I assume you are in the marines and if you are thanks for taking care of us.
