What headers are the best for the LT1?

I am just wondering what people think because I have been that Kooks Headers produce the most power then any other header on the market but for the LT1 they want $1014.90 and thats a lot when you can get some hookers even or headmens for way cheaper

your paying for stainless steel. even the ceramic coated headers like pacesetter or hooker end up rusting in a years time.

In terms of power, the Kooks are going to be close to the other long tubes on the market. What you are paying for is the quality of the product.

I've kept my Pacesetters clean. And even though I don't drive in rain or snow, the headers started rusting in less then a years time. After getting under the car today, they have gotten far worse.

Not sure if they improved their coating or not. I have heard recent complaints though regarding their coating rusting thru so I don't know. I won't be finding out the next time around though, expensive or not, the Kooks will be the next on the list.

back in 1996, I use to have a set of Macs headers . they were great headers ,easy fit and excellent spark plug access. then I switched to a set of Hooker LT's in and never looked back . I say go with the Hookers (Jet-Hot ) .

Thumbs up

I love my Pacesetters, so far. They've been on the car for almost a year now and still look good. They sound pretty badass with my magnaflow too.
