Yeah, you can tell you are in high school. You are headed down the typical road of obnoxious sound (droning Flowmaster) and little performance gain. A complete "cat back" system should be something to strive for in the area of first exhaust mods. Listen to what some of these other people are telling you.

Re: What Exhaust You got

I've got a Magnaflow catback. Since you're still in school, you might check into a Hooker catback. The Hooker is cheaper, sounds good, and does offer a performance gain. The drawback to the Hooker is it's not stainless steel. Flowmaster does not have a lot of fans on here, mainly because it has an irritating drone, and doesn't offer much in a performance gain, compared to other systems. Some have reported losing a pony or two with the Flow.

High flow cat and a Corsa. Corsa has the best sound if you do not have to deal with the sound police.

I have the Hooker Aerator cat back, and paint it with hi-temp on occasion. Sounds great, but i only have CAI...
Borla on the other f-body is wonderful, but pricey...

enjoy high school, its gone before you know it...

I have the Hooker cat back, BBK headers and a Walker high flow cat on my 93. Sounds good, and not too loud until you get on it. I tried the setup without the cat (straight pipe) and it was louder, but stunk pretty bad. No noticable power difference after adding the high flow cat. IMO, keep a cat on it. The 3" Walker was only 80 bucks at Summit.

I have Pacesetter longtubes, ORY and TSP Rumbler. Its really loud- almost too loud IMO. But its not a DD either so its not bad. If I drove it more than on the occasional weekend I would quiet it down some, its too obnoxious to enjoy for any length of time.

Hooker LT's, no cat, 3" pipe back to a Borla 40474 XS pro muffler, and a cutout before axle.

Re: What Exhaust You got

I'm running LPP longtube headers and a Borla catback. If you're in high school I would go something cheaper, because I am assuming that you are on a really tight budget. Corsa, Borla, GMMG, are all good, but they cost a lot of money. I had a hooker catback on my 91, which I owned in high school and it sounded good and was relatively cheap. Also look on this forum for exhausts on that people are selling. Solely getting a muffler is not going to change your performance.

Heres mine:

Re: What Exhaust You got

On my '94 LT1: Stock manifolds, flomaster cat, SLP 2OTL with an electric cutout
On my '00 LS1: Stock manifold and cats, GMMG catback to SLP CME.

I probably won't be doing much with my LT1, I actually plan on throwing the stock exhaust back on and putting the 2OTL in storage. The LS1 though will be receiving American Racing headers with a catted Y-pipe in the near future.

By far though, the 2OTL is an amazing exhaust. It's not super aggressive sounding (which most kids your age want) but it is one of the best free flowing systems out there and you should learn to respect that versus being another loud kid in a parking lot.

Re: What Exhaust You got

I used to have the MAC Mid length headers, a high flow cat, and the GMMG cat-back. The GMMG cat-back is now sold through vengeance racing(after GMMG closed with legal issues).
I loved that sound with the cam and do miss it.

Longtubes, no cats, and Hooker Aerochamber.

Car can be quiet, can also be loud. Only thing better is GMMG and I dont have the budget for that right now.
