What exhaust?

I got a stock 94 z28 camaro, and im putting on a Moroso CAI pretty soon as well as a Hypertech PowerStat. I wanting to put on an exhaust system but I dont know which one. I want my car loud! Do I even need a exhaust system? I want the best, cheaper way to go to make my car sound loud. Im looking at the SLP Loudmouth's but $389 is kinda expensive for me right now. I dont want to mess up my engine either, by doing sumthing bad to the exhaust. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jack

Why would the engine care if it had a muffler?

I wouldn't do anything to your car if you can't afford a $400 catback. That's about as cheap as it gets as far as new catbacks. You could look in the for sale section and see if there are any used exhausts dirt cheap.

Do not just cut your muffler off, and call it a day:

1. You'll probably get pulled over
2. If you romp on it a lot, you can burn a valve up
3. It will sound like crap
4. Stock exhausts suck, because they are small diameter, restrictive, non mandrel bent.

If no 2 were true then surely everyone with a cut-out would burn up a valve .
