Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

what do you think about this setup

what do you think about this setup

pacesetter lt's
(2) e-cutouts after lt's
pacesetter y-pipe
(1) high flow 3" random cat
borla cat back exhaust

will it be ok to run one high flow cat with a 97 lt1?

You should check your local emissions laws. You might be required to run 2 cats since your car origionally came with 2. Do you have plans for a heads and cam package in the future? If not, you probably wouldnt notice any difference in power running one cut out, and 2 high flow cats in the y pipe.

Yep, I would check your emissions regulations. Also, I'm assuming you are planning on mounting the cat at the tailend of the y-pipe since the rest of the piping will be occupied with cutouts. The cat at the end of the tailpipe will render it far less efficient then if it were to be placed closer to the actual header collectors.

i was reffering to the top set up...


however i think the bottom one would be better.
two cats, x-pipe, and to 18" sweet thunder mufflers dumped before the rearend...

what do you all think?
