This stupid thing on the driver side of the car that dips down in front of the header?





I am thinking about just banging it in since it is going to be in the way of my true dual setup and I am not going to "pinch" my exhaust tubing like the PaceSetter Y-Pipe is.

 

I take it you are fabbing this up yourself? Alot of the guys around here have a local speed shop do it for them and have had no problems with that....they just mandrel bend the tubing to avoid it.

 

The only mandrel bender around here is about 4-5 hours away. I bought some mandrel bends to do the exhaust with but wasn't really thinking about that when I ordered everything.

 

That can't be true....you live in Orlando right? I mean even here in Lafayette almost all the muffler shops....even the little ones have a mandrel bender.

 

Not around here... They all have press benders.


It's all installed now anyways, I am about to upload pics and videos.

 

What did they do to get around that. I know the LS1s did not have that in their floorpans. I'm wondering if I can cut it out and weld in a flat piece of sheetmetal in that specific spot.

 

Didn't have to do anything, everything cleared just fine.
