What can I do?

I have a 93 Camaro....(look at sig)

Its basically stock and I want to put a pretty loud exhaust on it...Im not really looking for HP but I dont want to spend very much...Would it hurt my gas mileage if I weld a pipe where my cat is and leave it like that (it is a stock muffler)...Or what if I put a pipe where my cat is put a pipe in place of my muffler...

I just want it to get attention and not have it sound like crap...

THANKS!

damn dude, did you just graduate from Ricer101?

If you're just looking to be "loud"... put a cutout on it and be done. $35 Flowtech 2 1/2" cutout and $10 to install at any muffler shop.

Yep, do a cutout, it sounds awesome on a stock manifolds/ypipe car.

Then just leave the cutout open at all times.

Buy yourself an electric cut-out,mount the switch in your centre console and you can open and close the cut-out whenever you like from the comfort of the drivers seat.

My advice is to simply unbolt the muffler, slip it off and then put a turn down on the remaining pipe (Its a 20 minute job). Drive it about and see if you like the sound. This should give you a better idea of what you want and should cost you next to nothing, then you can go from there.

You are looking at the electric cutouts. You could just buy the basic cutout for thirty bucks. However, if you want to open/close it, you will have to get underneath the car and mess with the plate.
