Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

Are true duals what I want to do? Either way, what to do for Headers/Exhaust.

Ok, right now my 93 z28 has stock headers, straightpipe (no cat), and flowmaster 40 muffler going out to stock tips. Car is currently on 1.8" lowering springs, hopefully will be on 1.2"s soon, these 1.8s that came with it suck.

I really don't know much in general, trying to learn so bear with me if I say something that sounds retarded or makes no sense.

Car is a daily driver. I was looking into replacing the headers with some better flowing than stock ones. I have no idea which ones to go with. I am thinking of going with true duals. If I do, I don't know what to buy for that either. I want to get a setup where there is a muffler on each dual though if possible, don't need it excessively loud. Is this possible, is there room for true duals + mufflers without it hanging low? I already have to worry about stuff scraping with the lowered car (I live in an area with many HUGE speed bumps, have to go over at least 2 just to leave my complex).

This will definitely done on a low budget so high end stuff isnt feasible. Is there something I can put on there that fits my criteria? Suggestions for headers and exhaust?

Oh, and if possible, I wouldn't mind doing something that lets me keep stock tips. I like the dual slots, looks good plus gives the appearance of stock, which I like

lowered you'll want mid lenght headers. from your descriptions of the area, you'll scrape alot if you do LTs. and the mids will get you almost as much power as the LTs.

and your best be for duals will be 2.5" side by side over the axle, into dual mufflers and then tips.

should be able to tuck it up as clean as a standard 3" catback single exhaust and you'll still out flow most exhausts. put some magnaflow 4x9s out back and you'll enjoy the mellow throaty sound.
