Tips, Tips... and more Tips.

Can't find a decent set of exhaust tips! My original hooker catback had the dual tips, and they have started to rust pretty bad (Missouri winters
)

I've done a few searches and alot of you recommend the borla tips, but sheesh... anywhere cheaper to get them instead of summit? I almost fell out of my chair at the prices.

Or any other recommendations? Don't like the single huge tips that you see on chevy trucks... thats where they belong, on trucks.

Maybe a set of used tips... I dunno. Would be better than the $130 on summit!

Thanks

I got my flowmaster muffler at a U-Pull-It. The chromeplated tips were rusted so I sanded them down real good. I got some 1200 degree flat black paint and did about 4 coats. It came out real nice. I did it about a year ago and they still look great. It's a lot cheaper than $130.

Corsa tips > all. Other than that, you can probably get ahold of some cheap stock c4-c6 tips from vettes and they look alright.

+1 for Corsa. Especially, the single 4'' pro series tips. I also like the stock looking stainless steel z28 tips you can find on ebay for $30-$40, giving the exhaust a sleeper look. The Borla tips are outrageously expensive...and imo rather ugly. You can find better tips for a lot less that are just universal.

IMO I'd just dump it before the rear axle with turndown(s). As long as they are angled properly it won't carbon blast underneath the car. If you can't do that or don't like that idea. look at some Pypes brand tips, they have a decent selection.

You don't like Truck Cannons?

I went with Magnaflow dual tips that were only $80 for the pair from the local muffler shop. A lot of people cruise the Corvette forums and pick up the Corvette Corsa-lookalikes for good prices.
