thinking about doubling mufflers

I've been running true duals and with two single chamber flowmaster race mufflers for over a year now. I'm also running 4.10 gears/automatic on the interstate constantly and i just can't take the noise anymore. I've tried switching mufflers but it just doesn't sound as good. I'm thinking of doubling the mufflers and running 4 single chamber mufflers. Any thoughts?

here is my setup: http://www.lt1engine.com/tech/wp-con...2008/04/42.jpg

Do you still have your cats? Go with a larger/longer muffler as opposed to two mufflers on each pipe.

I'd try the two or even three chambered mufflers from flowmaster first or you could try running the pipes out the back over the axel. The extra piping will tone it down and all the noise will be going out the back instead of right under the car

i think you will have better results with larger longer mufflers as mentioned, too many mufflers will restrict flow substantially

I think I'm going to add 2 16" bullet mufflers at the exhaust tips. These can't hurt flow that much.
