I originally used those and I felt they weren't getting enough "bite" so I ended up going with the 1" sizing.

The 3/4" are a pain in the butt to get the threads started. I'd imagine the 1" are better in that department.

While I could tighten the 3/8's heads, there were some clearance issues with the wrench and the primaries. It involved a lot of trickery to get them snugged down. I'd imagine the extra 1/16th of an inch could make *some* difference in how easy it is to tighten them.

makes a big difference. i can get a box end wrench on every bolt and can even get a socket on some of them.

Man that must be nice. If I feel that I'm not happy with my 3/4 x 5/8's I'll definitely pick up a set of those 1 x 5/16's. And what are you guys doing to tighten down that front bolt on the passenger side...the one under the alternator. Are you pulling the alternator off or using a combo to get in there?

When it comes to that bolt or spark plug, I just pull the alternator, I don't even bother fighting around it.
