I have a 95 Z28 with a flowmaster on right now and im planning to buy a whole new exhuast and headers. What types of exhaust and headers do you guys recommend to have a very loud and nice sounding camaro? Thanks.

Only very nice sounding very loud exhaust is the GMMG, in my opinon. I think you'll get tired of how loud it is though.

If you want the best sounding exhaust, that you won't get tired of, it would be the Hooker catback.

Thumbs up

I like the sound of mine. Kook's stepped LT's with a 3" X-pipe and DynoMax Bullets. Dumps right before the rear. It was loud at first, and still is to people who get in there car, but I think it's gotten a little too quite.

Only thing I don't like about my setup is that the Kook's are slip fit and the exhaust leaks a little out of the fitting, even with some good band clamps.

Also if your car is lowered or you go over some excessivly rough roads periodically, it would drag/scrap. Other than I love it.

IMO, Pacesetter longtubes, hooker catback and a cutout before your axle. I don't have the headers, but I do have the catback and cutout. I must say it sounds amazing at idle and cruising with the cutout open... and screams with it closed at WOT.

Yes the GMMG system does get pretty loud when u have LTs and no cats. It still sounds amazing. I am getting to the point where i dont care for the loudness anymore.

SO then u just ad a pair of highflow cats and problems solved....exhuaust still flows very well but with the cats its more toned down and sounds A LOT better with them on

Open headers do sound nice. However, in my case, my neighbors don't think they sound too nice at 5:00 in the morning.

I run long tubes, mini high-flow cat after the ypipe, and a cutout. It sounds amazing and is pretty damn loud. People are always telling me how good it sounds too.

I have long tubes, ORY,cutout, and a Magnaflow catback. Even when running with the cutout open at all times, I don't think it is loud enough. If you are looking for the most noise, I would probably look into a true dual setup.

yeah, my exhaust is loud but i know other combos will drown mine out. i try to be nice with the neighbors and just start the car and take off in the morning, not even enough time for the engine to warm up. not good, but trying to be courteous.
