sad day

I had to replace my gutted cat to pass emissions now its not as loud and throaty . How much will a cutout help with it? Could I put one before the cat? Also since yesterday it sounds like there is a ticking coming from the exhaust. Could it be a result from a bad weld.

Tick could very well be an exhaust leak.

Take the cat back off? I never had one so I don't know how much it changes the sound.

If its in the stock location, getting a cutout before it will be tough. I would imagine one before the flowpoo would still get pretty loud/nasty.

Even with the functional cat on there, the cutout will make a big difference. I have mine mounted right before the rear axle dump, that is the more convienant place to put it.

Yes, on the stock manifolds and y-pipe, it was very loud and throaty.

I have to do it every year. so thats 75 for the cat and 50 to have it put on every year. or I could buy a 200 or so cutout once.

Just do the cutout, destroying cats is not worth it.

okay, to imagine a cutout, crawl under ur car, take ur muffler off, and wallah - just like a cutout

then u can decide if u want a cut out or not
