Question about Jet hot spit fit tube.....

I bought a set of used jet hot headers and I didnt know the one primary was a slip joint. The pipe feels fairly loose in the joint, is there anything special I need to do to get it to seal? Ive never messed with headers like this and dont want to go through and install and have them leak.

I had RK sport mid tube headers that had a loose slip fit primary too. It never leaked a bit. I even tried high temp RTV and it just burned away. Just bolt it up and go.

I bought a stainless band clamp to try that, but never really saw the real need for it. The band clamp would have to be disassembled and shortened a bit to make it fit. I never found one that was the correct size.

$15.00 brand new shipped and its yours.
