question about 96 ss exhaust

I have heard that the 1st 100 96 SS's produced had the exhaust manifolds honed at slp. Does anybody know if this is true or could lead me to the right information to clarify this.

It is somewhat true. Reason is all 1996 cars didnt get it. They found that it really didnt do much and was costly. I dont know how you can find out if yours were done,maybe call SLP.
