Putting true duals over the axle on my 95, exhaust shop failed

I brought my car to a well known exhaust shop who has a great reputation around here to see if he could do true duals over the axle like Gripenfelters. Before he even looked under the car, when I told him what I wanted he said "noo you can't do that the way the 4th gens are made, they can only go over one side." So I told him I've seen a car, (Gripenfelters), with true duals over the axle on both sides. He said it might have been done but "I don't recommend going through the work for that. So, should I gather pics of grips set up and head back there or other shops, or just go with single 3" Magnaflow catback with ORY no cats?

I'd say if you want true duals, don't take no for an answer. I've seen setups like what you want. They either have to notch the panhard support brace or remove it, but it has been done.

Or you could go with a 4" Mufflex single exhaust if your worried about flow. They sound badass too.

He could also dump them at the axle. It sounds like he wants them all the way back though, which is cool also.

I want dual out the back, no dumps before axle. I'm looking to spend around $1000 or lower from headers back. Do you think I should ask him to do the dual 2.5" over passenger side axle so I don't have to relocate/modify my panhard bar?

Well, went to another shop and asked about dual 2.5" over passenger side axle and they said "impossible."
After I told him I've seen numerous cars that way.

dual 2.5" over the passenger side is very doable. you could even go with dual 3", but it would be a tight squeeze, and you'd have to find someone with experience doing true duals with f-bodies

That is for running true dual 3" pipes over the passenger side only, not over both axles like the OP wants.

Well, now since everyone calls down my dual over both sides I'm probably going to do dual over passenger side axle only then out the back. You're meaning to say I need a PHR relocation for that? or for over both side? I'd rather go over both sides but nobody wants to help me around here. Want to get this done before the winter comes
