Thumbs up Pacesetter mid questions and experience

I have the whole thing done and running. I will put new O2 sensors in next week. I had the new 3" cat welded in and he said for $120 he would put 3" pipe all the way back to the muffler. What do you think? He said he could not weld the coated headers to the cat so i guess clamps will have to do. Is there a better way? I ran five 0-60 runs before and after and cut 4/10 of a second off. Does anyone have an idea who much horsepower this has added? The car sounds much louder at throttle but the same at idle. My car would slightly chirp when it went in to 2nd now it feels like a full rotation or two. I barely can get traction. Would street slicks with normal tread design ruin my stock rear? If you can think of any idea or suggestions not talked about, feel free to put them in.

I know those headers are garbage I had them on my 97, what gaskets did you use because the ones they come w/ are junk....you probably gained 10-15 hp from everything....You should probaby start saving for a 12 bolt w/ the blower and all...Ive seen camaro rears go on stock cars so ya never know. Why the mids?, especially seeing your running FI?

I heard the same thing about the gaskets and bought a set of copper ones with the order. When they arrived they included copper ones that lined up perfectly with the headers for a nice fit. I bought the mids because of the emissions. Maybe i could get away with deleting the egr and A.I.R. but i think you need to relocate the cat further back which is also illegal. They are hard asses here and it is almost impossible to pass if your car is not running dead on. It also says on the Summit site for race only so i am sure there are many states they are illegal in. If the coating holds up (fingers crossed) i will have no complaints espically for the price i paid.

If you have strict emissions, I wouldn't tamper with the AIR and EGR systems. As for the cat, relocating it is technically an emissions violation as well.
