Pacesetter LTs + Texas True Dual Qs

I am about to ditch my current setup (AS&M mid lenghts and magnaflow catback) for real duals. After reading tons of threads, I have one looming question:

Is it worth going through the trouble of changing out my motor mounts to poly ones? The car has 55k on it, so they arent that worn. I am just afraid of the headers smacking the frame....any not have this issue with a similar setup?

it took me 10hrs to install motrmounts by myself with manifolds on.

when i installed LTs later....i was dumbfounded at how much access i had with the manifolds off.

with the LTs on.....there is NO way you'll get the mounts installed.

save yourself the possible hassle and headaches....install the mounts with the headers off.

its not so much that the mounts are worn out...they are soft to begin with. my car had 55K miles...and my exhaust moved like crazy. with the mounts on...it barely even rocks inside the engine bay. my current exhaust is 1/4" from my frame...and never hits.

I installed mine with my LT's bolted up. Didn't take 10 hours either. It was difficult getting the drivers side out and in... but unbolting the tranny mount and moving the engine around helped. It CAN be done.

I did mine in a couple hours with my headers bolted up. And to the OP, don't buy the TSP kit, save yourself the $$ and buy the universal x-pipe setup from summit racing with the mufflers of your choice and have it welded up at a local shop.
