Pacesetter LT's hitting chassis when engine torques?
Hey i have been experiencing some clunks under the car whenever i accelerate a little hard. Its been kinda scarey because i have no clue if its the driveline or transmission or whatever. I called the guy that sold me the car and asked him about it he said it was probably the LT's hitting the chassis. When the engine torques. I hope its true cause the last thing i need is a messed up transmission or something. Anyways i was just cearious to see if anyone else has expierienced this? Later today since it has a cutout im going to cap it up and put a video camera on the floor so i can show you exactley what im talking about. Thanks in advance guys.
happens all the time...
gets asked about regularly...and the proper fix is to install new poly motor mounts. but you'll have to pull the headers off to do it. it's been discussed alot...should have searched here first
other option is to put a "hanger" bracket on it to prevent the contact...i think thunder racing sells it...made by mufflex i think.
