Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

pace setter header question

pace setter header question

i bought the summitt 3 inch x pipe and the pacesetter headers for my lt1 and i was told the x would slip fit on the headers and the pipe is the exact same size for the x and the headers.....any alternative way to hook them up?????

I'm sure any muffler shop could fab something up for you take it somewhere and see what they say

Take it to a muffler shop and have them expand the x pipe where it slips over the header. Tell them you need a 3" inside diameter.

I think I might have helped that thought out I remember something in a thread like that. You could by a 3" to 3" connector from autozone or oreilly probably.

You can rent a exhaust pipe expander at autozone as well. I ****** rigged mine once for a few days. Made a cut long ways down a piece of pipe the same size, maybe six inches in length and used it to connect them..Then jb welded the slit shut where there was a whole, and clamped it on both sides. I ended up selling the x pipe on here and running a y pipe and hooker catback.
I enjoy the sound of true duals on the vette today.. Dont even have to worry about going over the axle either...
