Original SLP Exhaust
Original SLP Exhaust
Hello! I have a stock 96 SS, and I am needing to replace the exhaust. I want to keep it all original and am having difficulty finding the correct replacement. Any part #'s or suppliers would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Original SLP Exhaust
I believe you're looking for what's known as the SLP 2OTL exhaust...going to be very hard to find. SLP did the conversion on the '96 SS and 2OTL stands for "2 On The Left" because it had dual exhaust pipes that both exited on the driver's side. It's a stainless steel exhaust system, and those don't usually wear out...why do you need to replace yours?
Re: Original SLP Exhaust
Here's an interesting thread that had some guys talking about alternatives since it's no longer available:
If SLP made the 2OTL again, would you buy it????? - LS1TECH
I actually have an SLP 2 OTL on my '98 Z28 that I bought from SLP back in '04. I've actually never liked the look, but I've always likes the sound and it seems it's one of the, if not the, highest flowing cat-back made for the 4th Gen. F-Bodies. One of the pics in the above thread pretty much says it all when you look in the "in" side of the muffler straight through to the "2 out" side and see it's pretty much a straight pass through for the exhaust.
