We really need to get the exhaust swapped out... I hate the tips.

Yep, I can see them now, and I agree -- I don't really care for that look at all. They look like Magnaflow tips to me, but I don't think they're supposed to stick out that far. Is there a slip-fit pipe that you can adjust to make it shorter?

Yeah pretty close, I like his exhaust better.

Have listened to a ton of sound clips, trying to figure out what cat-back we like best.

I cant just adjust the tips, they are welded on. I could cut and move...but what a pain.

IMO cut the tips off and move them back about 1/2 the length of the tips.
It'll take no time at all for a good home town muffler shop to do it, and then it'll look good!
Do them like this:

Think this would be a good temporary solution after 10 mins with a sawzall. To the OP -- Listen around for LS1 soundclips and find the catback you like the best and go from there.

I think they will get hacked and moved in for now, I'll wait for the rain to stop and move them in.

We have been listening to the cat back kits. Im sure Ill catch crap for it, but the Loudmouth 2 seems deep and mellow, untill unleashed.

Are you going to do headers in the future? Keep that in mind as well. IMO, the LM sounds pretty good on catback only car but sounds like **** on a full exhaust car. Too raspy and loud.

Is that on the loudmouth, or on the loudmouth 2?

I dont like the sound at all on the loudmouth. Loudmouth 2 seems much more refined.

I really dont know on headers, but I know the Y pipe needs some improvement!
