it is close, its a perfect fit and it is solid. it wont move or raddle. i think i got lucky on that one. its like pacesetter made the y pipe to fit that pan. i just cut the y pipe end off and went down with it.

yes, there 2.5. i figured its like a single 5in pipe all the way back. when i did have a 3in. sounds so much better. i didnt want to sqeeze anything bigger over the axle. i will try to get a sound clip some how.

NICE try...

dual 2.5" pipes have a cross sectional area of 9.8 sq inches. a single 5" pipe has a cross sectional area of 19.6 sq inches. so your corelation is WAY wrong.

the cross sectional area of dual 2.5" pipes is equivalent to a single 3.5" pipe, and a dual 3" setup has the equivalent area as a single 4.25" pipe.

this is why most people making big power are just as well off running a mufflex 3.5" or 4" exhaust...

either way, i dont need something that big, and 2.5 duals make more power then a 3in and sound a hell of alot better anyway. so im better of then i was. and the sound i could never beat with any size single pipe.

i never took any time to check the size of the inner space of the 2 pipes. i knew it wouldnt be 5 inches, but i thought it would be closer then that. oh well still looks and sounds great. gotta love the duals. it sounds so much better then my 3in single did. your car domain site still shows you have a 3in single going into a dual pipe. nice car though

yeah...kindda lost interest in the cardomain site...

i think i even have some pics uploaded...just not put up on the page...

maybe one of these days when i get some decent shots of the exhaust.

my problem is that i had to have the duals welded up on VERY short notice last year...had it all torn apart and a Cat 5 hurricane 3 days away (wilma)...so it doesn't fit as well as i would like.

plan to do side by side like yours when i find a decent shop.
