Magnaflow system is nice looking, but sound wise I give it a thumbs down.

on my car the borla sounded really good at idle and regular driving, but anything above 3k sounded like poo.

and that was through PS mids and magnaflow cat, w/o any of the restricter plates. but it also had 95k miles on it so that may have had a factor as well.

FWIW, I have Hooker Aero Chamber cat back set up and it is the quietest performance exhaust system I've heard. There is no drone in the car at any RPMS and it's really no louder than the stock system when cruising around. It will roar when you open up on the throttle, but otherwise is pretty quiet.

Thanks for the insight.Do you have headers? My Flowmaster has too much drone on the hiway.I,m also installing headers soon and will be changing to a Hooker Aero Chamber so if it is too quiet i can always open the c/o(lol).

No, I don't have headers yet.....although I've heard some sound clips with the hooker and headers and they sounded pretty tough!

Hi, i've been poking me head around the forum for a couple weeks now, and i figured it was time for a post...

i found a video on hookers site with a setup that i really like, and i was wondering if you guys thought a similar sound could be had on a 94z.

check it out: video

video says the car has a LT1 mpfi, 52mm tb, commander 950, hooker headers, flowtech x-pipe, and aerochamber mufflers

i'd just be running a smaller tb, no commander 950, and possibly a cat.

Why are you going with tru duals if you want quiet?

Magnaflow quite? That video of Dan's car idling sounds loud to me!

I have been looking for a quite muffler too. Right now my car has true duals into 2 flowmaster low profile race mufflers. It's loud as hell. Gives me a headache...I used to daily drive it like that.

I'm thinking of going back with a dual in/dual out muffler so I can mount it in the stock location and run my duals into it and have them both exit on the passenger side. My duals both run side-by-side and over the axle in the location that the stock I pipe ran.

Magnaflow makes a dual in/out muffler...no idea how it sounds though.
