add in a resonator, or some cones, that would help a LOT. U can also buy a DB Meter from walmart that is accurate to like 130 decibles

That's retarded. I'm sure they don't pull over every motorcycle that's louder than any car I've ever heard.

What moron cop wrote that? In Colorado i believe that is a no point violation. If thats the same in Cali, it may be easier to pay the fine than try to adjust the exhaust to pass the DB level. I doubt you'll ever get issued a ticket for that again anyway.

Did the cop do a decible test when he pulled you or did he just say because it wasnt the exhaust that came from the factory that it was illegal.

If he didnt test your car when he stopped you then it doesnt matter. He cant give you a ticket simply because the exhaust is not factory. If it is factory compliant, in good working order, and not producing excessive noise then your fine. Since he didnt test the car when he pulled it over he cant say that in court. Based on that reasoning any car that comes out of a Meineke with a system from them is in violation of that law as well. Go to court and get it dropped.

Go to the California DMV law handbook and find the exact section that deals with the violation and take that to court. I am qouting the VA DMV law that i got mine dropped by on my Maxima. Just make sure Cali is the same.
