It's a piece of cake once you get the old exhaust off. You'll need to cut the stock pipe where it goes over the axle. No real specialty tools though. I'd say 2 hours tops, if you have little mechanical ability.

An electric reciprocating saw made short work of chopping off the old exhaust. Other then that, installing it is quick and painless.

Are you connecting the i-pipe portion of the catback directly to the cat, or is there a run of pipe after the cat as well. If so, what is the diameter of the cat or the run of pipe? If it is 3 inches, the i-pipe portion of the Magnaflow catback is slightly oversize of 3 inches so it will slip right over it. Then you can use your choice of a band or u clamp.

Keep it capped, any type of exhaust leak could disqualify you, that is assuming they even look under there.

cause i wanna put it on when i do the pipe so it can be welded on good since it will be off car. if i did it after emissions be hard since u gota cut the pipe then try the best to weld the top side.

I have a cutout on my car, I just capped it up before taking it in. With the car being noticably louder, I didn't want to attract any attention to the underchassis. I don't see an issue with installing it now, just cap it off when taking it in.

You shouldn't, there should be a gasket there anyway. My QTP cutout had a gasket, it is basically a 3-bolt collector gasket so they are pretty easy to find and buy if you don't have one.

All you need is an impact wrench with a chisel bit. And go to town right before where it bends up over the axle. With an impact it took me about 5 minutes to knock the stock exhaust right off. Easiest way to do it imo. Then the install is cake...

When i did my magnaflow, the hangers didnt line up correctly so i had to make new ones. I know someone else that had the same problem, but it sounds like most ppl dont. Just throwing it out there even though its wasnt really a big deal to make it fit
