Magnaflow Catback

For those who have Magnaflow cat back (LT1) - Are you satisfied with the performance? Do you think it sounds better than let's say , Flowmaster? Please describe the sound if you can. Also, would you weld or clamp? I would like , obviously, good performance but would like have the deep bass sound (ghost). i can't stand the higher pitched, glass pack-ish , tapping, or rattling sound.

97 LT-1 ,CAI, rest stock right now

The Magnaflow is quiet at idle, although louder than stock. It is not loud at cruise and does not drone. It does it's talking when you put your foot in the gas.

Magnaflow has a few vids on their site if you select the appropriate system, for I believe the '95Z. Also there are plenty of vids on youtube that give you an idea of the sound with various setups from stock to heavily modded.

Love mine! Good and throaty. Yeah, it's quieter at idle, but she talks when you stomp it.

I had the magnaflow CB with pacesetter lt's and pacesetter ORY, on my 93 T/A. Idle is nice and deep, quite when you want it to be but when you stand on it... it lets everyone know it's there, LOL. I would definatley recommend it to others, I currently have a SLP LM1 on my Z but when I put headers on I will probably go back to magnaflow.

I love mine! I'm having a bit of a problem with leaks though. I can't seem to get the bad clamps tight enough. I might have to have it welded up.

Mine is being delivered tomorrow, so I'll post in a couple days and let you know. It's going to be attached to Pacesetter LT's and ORY coming from a Heads/Cam LT1.

Yeah, just ordered the magnaflow. Found a good deal from wundercarparts. They beat everyone's price, had in stock, and will receive tomorrow. Can't beat that. So I will be doing Kooks headers with them. i hope it will be a good system.

97 Z28 drop top/ CAI/ rest stock but not for long

I love my magnaflow, it sounds so much better than the flowmaster junk that was on the car when I bought it. With long tubes and 1.6 rockers it sounds nasty.

big fan of the magnaflow over the flowmaster, I've ran flowmaster and don't like it. I had a local shop weld up my magnaflow.
