Question Mac mid length headers

I noticed that these headers include a y pipe when you buy them but it is 2/1/2.I bought a BORLA 2.75 one years ago so my ? is would,nt i be better to buy headers w/o a y pipe instead ,can they be bought that way?

The Borla Y pipe is designed to bolt up to the stock manifolds and will not bolt up the Mac headers.

Nothing wrong with dual 2.5 tubing. Your cat back is likely only single 3" mandrel bent any ways.

If you wanted to use the Borla, you would have to have some work done to it to make it fit the headers. It would probably be easier just to buy the Mac y-pipe.

+1

I put down 446 rwhp with the mac mids and y pipe with a stock engine and 8 psi of boost. Check the Sig.

note: I did not have the long tubes and true duals until recently

So what your saying is that since it,s designed/and sold w/the headers it will fit w/o modification; i guess i could aways sell the BORLA.Looks like i will have some parts for sale/could sell@at our annual swap meet this APR.Thanks for your reply.

Did you get much in gains going to the LT's and duals?

I have seen the Mac headers sell as a kit that includes the y-pipe, so I'd assume that it should all bolt together.
