lt1 True dual setup

Im starting to gather parts for my 1993 TA "True duals"
Ive never done this before and will be installing everything with a friend.
Looking for any kind of advice, tips, tricks, etc.
Also trying to make sure i have everything i need/

Parts:
Pacesetter race LT's. (From a member here) with bolts, band clamps.
Gaskets: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SCE-211187/
Summit Racing Universal X-Pipe: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-642130/
Race mufflers: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-24222/

Im assuming my the universal X-pipe will match right up with the LT's, if im incorrect please correct me.
Also i will be getting the LT's and X-pipe first so will be running an open X for about a week untill the mufflers come in, should i see any problems with this setup? And am i missing anything? o2 extensions?

Start by looking over the true duel sticky at the top. save all the pictures to your computer to get ideas from them.

Are you going to do over axle? Under axle? Side exit? Are you going 3" all the way down?

I don't have experience with the A4 but I know that two 3" pipes can fit down the drive shaft channel. The thing I am stuck on right now is there isn't enough clearance to put both pipes between the tank and upper panhard bar for my over axle exhaust. (that and I ran out of U bends.

BTW... here is some progress pics I had.

I will be getting a panhard bar relocation kit so I can complete the over axle part.

Im running the universal x-pipe dumped before the axle.
I have all my parts. Just waiting for a day or two off from work.
The x-pipe will be without mufflers for about a week until they come in.

As far as my headers go, they are race headers. So for A.I.R EGR will i need to buy block off plates, or is that cosmetic only.

For the EGR, you should block the ports on the intake. You have a 93 so the unmetered air argument isn't valid but there is a chance for unfiltered air to go through the port if it isn't blocked off.

Would i be fine running the race headers and not removing the air egr immediately, maybe some time next week instead?

IMO I wouldn't drive it around with that port open. If you feel ambitious... take the EGR pipe off the plate and make a block off out of sheet metal and sandwich it between the plate and the intake.

I got a SES light without the block off plate but that was before the tune and I have a MAF car.

For the AIR system you can just remove it. Use a large rubber vacuum bypass fitting to cap off the fitting on the intake.

Finally got a sound clip. Camera was a little too far away, but still captures a good amount of the sound.
Revs are up to 2500/1800

http://www.lt1engine.com/tech/how-to...duals-exhaust/ Thats the web site that has a tutorial on how to get the pipes to meet the X. I have a 2.5" X-pipe system with moroso spiralflow mufflers that i'm fixing to have put on in about a month. Hope that site helps.

i have PS LT's and on the site it said optional. thats the reason i asked. plus with an extra piece of pipe should i just place the hangers from when the DS tunnel starts to open up for the rear end? thats what im guessing the best place will be.

Yea, the seat belt bolts are what i'm going to use to hang the pipes. Then I'm running the exhaust under the axle and out the back in the center
