(LT1) bbk shortys- sound diffrence?

hey guys,new to this site, was wondering how many of you out there have a 94 a4 with no cat,3in.pipe,flowmaster 40- and 3in pipe outlets,what kind of sound should i expect, once i put the bbk shortys,im lookin for a loud raspy sound, will i get that or something diffrent?,also are they a pain to install? much info appreciated thanks.

I have the exact setup as described in your post except its a 95 z lol. Sounds awesome at idle, but does get a bit raspy up top. I dont like the rasp, but to each his own. Very loud either way.

installed the headers already!

well, the headers are on!! woohooo!!!,took about 3 1/2 hrs, what a sound!! hee,hee! its like you said its kinda raspy at idle but really loud,when you gun it. all in all very satisfied, although i dont know why,the clamp was to be installed in a odd area..taking it to be welded "y-pipe" instead of clamped, right in the center of the oil pan, hmm. much more responsive too!,thanks for the info!.
