i am gonna be putting in longtubes on a friends 2002 ls1. i am not sure wether it will be true duals or not, but it needs to stay emmisions legal. i am gonna need cats on it regardless. i would just like some pics of true duals and some setup's with a y-pipe so i can get an idea of how to run it.

with a y-pipe, it will run in the factory location, true duals, not many people run duals with cats.
What emissions tests do u have to do? long tubes are extremely hard to get to pass

 

>here in Massachusetts if you change the location of the cat(s) from stock location (i.e.- Long tube headers) you fail emissions automatically. But so far I've been lucky enough to find places where the inspectors doesn't realize that it was moved and that I have 2 cats and not 1 like orignally from the factory.

 

only thing in the factory location with longtubes is the over the axle pipe and mffler/tips.
