just finished LTs and true duals

well, i did pacesetter LTs, unfortunately i had to get the emissions version since no place had race-versions in stock. Still need to find a cap to screw onto the threads, anyone have ideas?

i did true 2.5" duals w/ the summit x-pipe kit, must say, no fab work was required other than putting the kit together.
It sounds awesome with the spiral flows, if anyone wants something loud but muscle-car sounding, def get them. They're like a mix between flowmastesr and bullets (deep, somewhat raspy)

overall, it turned out good, still have some work to do (have to grind off 2 of the legs and kind of angle them upwards for ground clearance)
took us 12 hours because we kept getting stuck, but, it sounds good, just cant really drive it too far right now because of the AIR fittings blowing hot exhaust straight to the hood lol

On my SLP's i just took the header into the local hardware store and bought some brass caps that fit them. It's probably a pipe tread so I'd just measure the tube then go to the hardware store and find one the same size.

If you still have your old fittings and a welder take the metal tube out of them and fill the inside with weld. When my brother ditched the emmissions on his impalla thats what I did and it worked great. A couple guys told him to do the high temp silcone and penny trick and that lasted for about 300 miles and then melted the penny so I ended up welding it like above.

I did the exact same setup at as you (except race headers), and i had to do a little work, mainly because I didn't like some of the fitment.

On the drivers side i had to use the BFH mod to make a little space in the floorpan for the first part of the piping attached to the collector, and then i heated and put a dent in the pipe just after that where it goes underneath the fuel and brake lines, I didn't like the fact that it was so close to them.

Otherwise the duals part was fairly easy, the headers were a much bigger PITA than fabricating the duals.

Running flowmaster 40s, have about 4 inches of clearance under them.

I'll try to get some pics up too, and some sound clips (they do sound mean dont they?).

Try a search, the AIR fitting issue has been brought up a bunch of times. I think you need a M22 drain cap found at the local hardware store. Not sure exactly though.
