How many Bolts hold on each exhaust manifold?
How many Bolts hold on each exhaust manifold?
exactly wats in title....im tackling it tomorrow...i can visually only see 2 but i bet there is at leats 4 for each manifold....i wanna be able to spray them down with some PB Blaster thats why i am asking
Lets hope its 6 per side. Mine only had 5 on passenger side
. Now i have aftermarket headers
. Use a long straw on your PB Blaster container and feel for them. I would let them soak for a couple days and then once you break them loose hit them again and wait a few minutes. Don't forget about the EGR attachment on the back passenger side.

yup they are both right.. 6 bolts per side.
also, as he said above,if you dont have one lying around steal a straw of of a can of WD40 when you buy the PB blaster... spraying everything down made my header install sooo much easier... that and i only had 5 bolts on one side the bolt closest to the firewall was busted on the drivers side for me (as 2000GTP said it happens all the time)

yea its sooo hard to get to the manifold bolts... this afternoon i jacked the front of the car up enough to get under there...and it was so hard to get to all of em...i didnt even get to hit all 12 with the PB Blaster
once you get the starter and alternator out of there its not too bad... that was another thing about spraying everything down so many times beforehand. I got a real good idea of where everything is. just try to imagine where everything is and get a little creative
The one on the front passenger side is probably the worst... just make sure you have plenty of different sockets and wrenches and just exparament to see what works
