Help me decide what to do with exhaust

Ok, So i'm about to order Pacesetter LT's and ORY, and originally i was going to put on a catback, like maybe a magnaflow.. But I've been thinking it would be way cheaper to just run a 3" straight pipe from the y pipe to a muffler to a turn down right before the axle.

Anyone done this before? (i know people have) if so, how did you like it and what muffler did you use? I'd like it to sound good, but not TOO loud. thanks

I think a lot of people have done this, the only issue is going to be ground clearance.

Is there any possibility of using a real muffler or would it have to be a bullit type?

I think so, there are a lot of mufflers out there that are pretty slim, like a Flowbastard. Take a look at what Summit has.

well if guys can fit 2 mufflers under there for true duals, i 'm sure you'd have enough room for one.

i ran a 24" bullet on my ORP for a while, with a cam...and it sounded pretty good.

my suggestion is a magnaflow 4x9 muffler...same thickness as a bullet, just oval shaped.
